Agree! It's much more manageable that way, and I would suggest placing it in the great hall.

I had the thought of putting it in a bar... plenty of Rumors start in bars because of the amount of alcohol consumed there.
I'll go through the books. Maybe I can find a place that would be appropriate for a Rumor Board.

Archives board is needed for finished and locked threads so that they do not clutter up the board. Fo' instance. My "I ran into the teacher" thread with Professor Nartur, when finished, I shall lock it and archive it. Once we have an archive board, I'll post an announcement telling everyone to PM me when they have finished a thread so that I can come over and lock it and move it. If you want I can be in charge of it so that you don't have to worry about it.

I think one of the coolest thigs about these boards is that you have the ability to read over other characters conversations and get a feel for other peoples characters. If it becomes a problem later, i will make an archives board then.

Hey, bit of a newbie here and I have an idea. What about a plot planning section? I find them useful, because you can pretend your characters knew each other and do a little map of their relationship beforehand, instead of the potentially annoying 'Oops-I-Bumped-Into-You-Now-Let's-Start-A-Conversation' type threads. Plus, you can also see how other characters interact so you don't have to sift through too many threads to find out who is friends with who. Plus, it's a good idea for forming romance plots or rivalry plots, etc

Scarlett--
That's a pretty good idea, a relationship thread is always good. I'll go start one in the ... plot line board so that we can have that set up. And HM can always delete it if she wants to.

I like the idea, but make it clear that its only an option. No one has to use the plot planner if they don't want to, but for big things such as pranks or fights, its a very, very good idea.

Okay, so now that I'm sorted I went trawling through the boards and I realised that there's nothing really for people to do outside. There's the library, kitchens, common rooms, Hogsmeade etc, but no lake or just grounds in general... see my character tends to be outside more often than not because she really isn't that good at studying and dislikes school in general. So maybe a board for the lake or grounds in general, near the whomping willow... that would be cool.

Good point. we should have like "the lake" and "whomping willow" kinda thing so that people can go outside and be emo with others. or at least that's what bella and raph would do.
OH :
and can we add an OOC or IC (whichever you prefer) graphics section, I'd love to advertise to do graphics, but I'm not sure where. It's up to you.

You don't have to be emo to go outside... I know plenty of people that prefer the outdoors and they are certainly no emos. Yeah, a graphics section would be cool. I saw your stuff on Woot Graphix... it was cool

Oh don't worry Scarlett, I was joking. I'm a very outdoorsy type and I'm not at all emo. Thanks for looking at my stuff on Woot! I recognised your banner from someone's sample graphics page... very nice work. I like the animation a lot.

I thought you actually meant that, lol *slaps forehead* Lol yeah, I was being really lazy with it though so the erasing job on the background wasn't all too crash hot. But I'm happy with it anyway, lol. Anyway, I have a feeling I'm going to drag this thread off topic , so I'm gonna shut up now, lol.

Definitely. I've been meaning to make More boards on the grounds and such, but I just haven't had time. I'll do that as soon as I can.
