Hey people! I've been to this site a couple of times and so I have a comment or two to make. Okay, so here I go, and excuse any rambling I am liable to do. All criticisms are intended as constructive, I hope you won't be offended. Anyway:
I think the aesthetic aspect is fine and it's great to be able to find a somewhat advanced RPG around the place. But, if you're going to be advanced I suggest you adopt a more detailed plot. I would join, but from reading the plotline thread... well, it doesn't really tell me what's happening on the site that makes it more interesting or unique than any other marauder site. All in all, it's just the setting. That being said, I must tell you that the most attractive feature is the quality and length of the RPs I've seen.
Okay, and there's one more thing in your rules that I think is a little bit, well... restrictive. This line:
A Hufflepuff student would not be running around calling people Mudbloods, and a Slytherin wouldn't be racing around posting "I Love You"s to everyone they meet.
It kind of limits you, so that all your characters wind up being really stereotypical, goody-goody Gryffindors, roadkill Hufflepuffs [you have to admit, that's all they seem to be good for in the books, i.e. Cedric], evil Slytherins etc. If you can come up with a really good background, why can't a Hufflepuff be rude like that? I mean, Death Eaters are loyal like Hufflepuffs, aren't they? Some Death Eaters could have been in Hufflepuff. Bellatrix went to Azkaban for Voldemort to show her loyalty. Yet, I bet she still called people mudbloods.
And although the book portrays the stereotype, I really don't think all Slytherins are evil; true, they are ambitious and some will stop at nothing to get what they want. But some may choose foul methods, others may choose to work hard for what they want. In general they're described as cunning and sly, it doesn't say anything about them being specifically mean in the book. It's just that the ones we've encountered are. Which I think is a bit of a double standard in itself, seeing as a huge message in the books is how you shouldn't judge people [i.e. muggleborns] before knowing them, but oh well...
Sorry if I got a little opinionated on the last one, but I'm a stickler for unconventional characters. Good Slytherins, evil Gryffindors and the like. Trust me, it is possible to make them realistic.
Overall, I think you have a really good site. I would join it, if not for those two things...
Love, Mia

^ Whoops, just realised that something I said could have been taken the wrong way. I didn't mean to imply that Bellatrix was a Hufflepuff, if that's what it sounded like. Lol... anyway, so I don't make a habit of this....

Now, you have to remember, when I first wrote the plot, I had a total of two members - Me and and inactive one at the time.
I will update that now, thank you for reminding me.
And as for that rule, it was just an example to show that you should stay in character. If you think it comes across wrong, I can edit that out as well.
Thank you so much for your feedback, and I hope you will consider joining us one more time.
