So while she was stuck inside sitting by the fire most of the time, Braedon was outside playing with other children and making friends. Syd on the other hand, became socially removed in comparison. When they were younger, Syd and Brae were quite close; he would come in after a while and try to get the other kids to come inside so she wouldn’t be bored all the time. After a while he gave up as well and ended up going out to play with them more often than his own sister. By the time they were 8 years old, the twins were virtually strangers. In addition to this, all Braedon’s good morals and values, that their unbiased parents had taught them, were slowly being eroded away due to the influence of the other kids. Braedon started picking on Sydney with his friends, which always upset her. Her parents never suspected a thing until much later.
When the twins turned 9 their brother Blair was born. Syd decided to use her sisterly influence to make sure that Blair turned out nothing like her twin. The next year, the twins were accepted into a small Irish academy of magic without much shock or surprise. Both were sorted into the equivalent of Slytherin, admittedly their parents were shocked about Sydney at first; they were sure she would have been more of a Ravenclaw type. However they rationalized her sorting by remembering all the goals she had had as a child and how devoted she was to achieving things. Unsurprisingly, her brother continued to single her out and pick on her over the years. However one year a housemate attempted to hit her with a Sectumsempra curse, and he stepped in to defend her. Evidently he was furious at himself, but the traces of protectiveness from his youth had obviously not disappeared quite yet. To this day he still doesn’t know why he does what he does, but he doesn’t want his sister hurt; Sydney thinks that this means there may be a way for him to return to the kind little boy he had once been. At the very least, perhaps she could improve his work ethic. In her 6th year, she learned that her cousin Arisa had been killed in a fight against an Order Member; the girl had been a Death Eater, along with her mother. Soon after, she found that her parents were to return to their mother country of England, and that it was custom in their family to remain at the family manor while in residency there.
That very same year, her cousin Alessia moved from Italy to England, to live the very same place as Syd and her cousins, to be precise. After speaking with her only a few times, Sydney developed a friendship with cousin Ally, because she defends her from Braedon, Scarlett and Adrian. Soon after, the addition of Tatiana Vanderwood to the Archer family evened out the Order/Death Eater numbers a little, making it a bit more secure for Syd. With the 6 teenagers in the same place, as well as their younger cousins, holidays prove to be an emotionally charged affair for the Archer family. Arguments tend to break out between them; Syd, Tiana and Ally on one side, Adri, Scar and Brae on the other. Although she dreads the return of school, Sydney thinks that this year, with a fresh start at Hogwarts, things could finally look up for her.

And when she managed to get a few words out of him, he had a minor argument with Tatiana [she’s not related to him or his siblings, since it’s on Scarlett’s mother’s side] A couple of people at his old school pissed him off, so he beat them up, so they’re classified as enemies. Strangely enough, his first instinct is to use fists, rather than magic.
What does your character smell when they inhale Ammortentia? Syd; roses, new books and a hint of something she can’t detect.

. In answer to your query... Well, I sort of tried to make their personalities so that they can both be in the same house without them acting alike. Even though they act like complete polar opposites most of the time, I purposefully gave Syd qualities of the house I felt Brae would most likely be sorted into. For example on another site, Brae was sorted into Slytherin because he was cunning, sly and had the Slytherin mindset in general. So I made sure Syd was determined and ambitious enough to be placed there as well, even though she doesn't seem like the traditional Slytherin girl. So basically I'm just hoping they get sorted into the same house. If not, well, it sort of complicates things. But if I'm allowed to go forward to the sorting I promise I'll try to prove why they should be in that certain house (in character, because I love speaking from my character's point of view, hehe) and not the others.
