Welcome to Hogwarts, Maurader Age! There were a few minor changes made to the characters to help with Roleplaying, as well as changes to the original plot.
First, Canon ages are of no importance here. If we follow the books, Lucius Malfoy would have only attended when James Potter and Sirius Black were in first year, and that leaves very little room for interaction between them. The same goes for the other canon characters. Characters like Lucius Malfoy and Roldolphus Black are in their seventh year, and characters like James Potter and Bellatrix Black are in their sixth. Narcissa is in her forth, and Andromeda Black is in her fifth.
I know I didn't list every character available, and if you have any questions on your characters age, please feel free to ask.
Second, Albus Dumbledore is not the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He stepped down from his position after accepting a more confortable position at an inflential Ministry-like organization, but he still drops in from time to time and checks on the progress here.
In the same fashion, our Professor Slughorn [Potions Professor and Slytherin Head of House] has also decided to leave the school. In all truth, he was asked to leave after turning up drunk on many occasions, but he had been considering leaving for a while, and was not at all upset over the matter. Professor James Nartur has stepped in to replace him.
We also welcome Professor Quinn Dacier as our new Muggle Studies Professor and Hufflepuff Head of House.
Third, we are still looking for a Professor to take over the Ravenclaw Head of House. Until we find one, I will act as their Head.
Also, there will be new additions to the castle and the surrounding area this year. New shops are being added in Hogsmeade, which fifth years and above are allowed to visit after classes any day, forth and below can visit only on weekends.
The castle is also being reworked, all for students benefits of course. The rumor of a Butterbeer Tap in the Staff Lounge is just an... er, rumor. *coughs*
Back to business, Madam Pince has asked me, once again, to remind students that no eating, drinking, talking, incessant noise, sticky fingers, candy, magic, toads, pet fur, butterbeer, dirt, books from home, dirty shoes, sickness(no snot on the pages of the precious books), pens and pencils(too tempting to mark pages), study groups that enjoy chatting with one another, music, humming, talking to oneself, and stuffed animals will be allowed in the library. Thank you, Madam Pince, for that announcement.
Lastly, Prefects will be decided upon merit this year, and not by age. I will appoint the prefects myself, but I will use any suggestion you all may have.
