Ooc:
For Andie.
Ic:
Bellatrix took a deep swig of her butter beer feeling it slide down her throat, that bitter sweet taste that reminded her of closets and hidden secrets. Why the drink solicited such a strange memory she wasn't sure, but she knew it had something to do with her sisters and sneaking about the kitchen.
She looked at the bottle for a second, and then surveyed the room with a critical eye. There were students everywhere, muttering among themselves as they hunched over small tables, conferring about the beastly weather and the dreaded homework that awaited them when they returned from Hogsmeade.
She was feeling oddly nostalgic, and a sense of belonging settled over her, as if this bar understood her more than any other human had. After a few seconds she realised that it was the effects of the firewhisky she had drunk before. The alcohol was clearly impairing her judgement. She considered ordering a new one, but then decided that Professor McGonagall would not appreciate it if she returned to school completely inebriated.
After all, she had done this before, and only by the good graces of Narcissa had she been concealed from the Professor's watchful eye. But Narcissa was meeting someone and had no time to watch out for her drunk older sister; so it was up to Bellatrix to look out for herself.
She was about to pay for her drinks and leave, when she heard the door open, and a dry gust of wind swept in. She turned around, and found her eyes upon the person she had expected least to see.

Andromeda was soaked to the bone as she entered the Three Broomsticks, eyes cast down at her sopping clothing. Her wand was held ready in her hand, but she immediately decided it would be a waste to use a drying spell when there is a fire. While ringing some excess water out of her skirt, she proclaimed her thoughts with a giddy gleam in her eyes. "Only one cure for... Everything and that is firewhiskey!" She bore a wide toothy grin as she looked up for the first time, but was met with a shocking sight. Eyes widening slightly as she eyed her sister, the grin never leaving her face.
“One firewhiskey!” She spoke to the barmaid, her tone happy despite the sudden change of events. Her hand darted greedily for the mug, and she did not hesitate take a generous sip of the lovely liquid. “Should I make that two firewhiskeys Bella? I promise I won’t get piss drunk per usual and will loyally guide you back to the Slytherin common room.” A crooked smile donned her features as her hand flew to her heart once she spoke the word “loyally.”

Bella couldn't help but nod before she could stop herself.
What are you doing? she thought to herself incredulously. Fraternising with the enemy, that's what! But one glance at Andie's disarming grin she instantly felt terribly guilty. After all, she had been instrumental in Andromeda's exile. Well, Andie had brought it on herself, but nevertheless, she still felt resonsible for her sister's predicament to some degree.
What is one firewhiskey going to do? her kinder side thought. No! her other opinion snapped. Blood traitor
Bella thought over Andie's proposal, after all, her sister had promised to guide her back to the Slytherin lair, and Andie had never reneged a promise. And there were no Slytherins in sight to witness her transgression... Perhaps it was better to accept. What could happen?
"Sure," she said, smiling hesitantly. "Why not?"

Andromeda doubted her sister would take her up on her offer and saying she was shocked was an understatement. Her eyebrows had flown up faster than you can say Accio, while she eyed her sister’s smile. If this is revolved around some sort of plot I’ll be sure to stick something vile in one of her potions…
She turned toward the barmaid while taking another sip of her firewhiskey. "One more firewhiskey if it isn’t any trouble," she gave the barmaid a lopsided grin while grabbing her sister’s mug. "Well come on then, we might as well get a booth just incase you decide to fall off your chair." After plopping herself on the hardwood bench and placing both mugs safely upon the table she decided to ask a question that had been on her mind since she first heard the news.
"Do you love him?" She choked out the words, but her facial expression remained blank while she stared directly at her sister. Andromeda's entire manner changed after saying her thoughts aloud, making her appear to be bi-polar. While taking another swig of her firewhiskey, she realized just how rude that question must have come off.
"Don’t go taking offense now, I just would like to know the truth…" Her lithe form was slightly hunched over her mug, some locks of golden hair hanging in her face. Even while she drank she kept her eyes alert on Bellatrix the whole time, watching every move she made like a hawk.

Bella took a sip of her firewhiskey, savouring the burning sensation that spread across her throat and into her chest. She appraised the bottle with the savvy only a consummate drunk could, and once she decided that the vintage was to her satisfaction she answered her sister's rude, but nevertheless pertinent question.
"In a manner, I guess," she said, hiccuping slightly. "He's kind to me, he's sweet. Writes me love poetry and tells me I'm beautiful. He's never hit me, never cursed me, and even when we fight he doesn't raise his voice. You could say he's nothing like any man I've ever met... I do love him."
This relevation was rather surprising, and admitting it allowed was only instigated by the large amounts of alcohol in her system. "I do love him. Strange, isn't it? It's passionate in a bizarre married couple sort of way. If something happened to him I would never marry anyone else."
She took another swig from her bottle, and watched her sister for any signs of disgust or anger.

OOC: WARNING! This is a long post…
Andromeda watched her sister’s drunken behavior and began to question if she would even comprehend Bella’s answer. She listened intently, but couldn’t avoid letting a small chuckle escape the confines of her mouth when her sister hiccupped. Her body automatically scooted forward on the bench, as if it would make the entire situation more real. The last thing Andie expected was to be drinking with her dear sister at the Thre Broomsticks. Her sister Bellatrix, who both of her parents were content with, Bellatrix, the daughter her parents still wished she was like.
She still loves her sister to some degree despite her family’s domestic dispute, despite her desire to sever all the ties she has to her family. I can’t get too close to her because I know it can’t last… Knowing that her sister and herself will come to despise each other, is a thought that she has been in denial about for quite some time. I shouldn’t… The feeling of belonging is ignited when in the mere presence of Bella, a feeling she has been deprived of even before she was kicked to the curb by her "family."
While Bellatrix described her feelings for Rodolphus, she couldn’t help but give her a small smile. She’ll be happy… "I think that you Bellatrix may be the only member still recognized by the Black family who has a real shot at happiness." While pausing for a moment, she subconsciously began to trace the rim of her mug. "Just make sure you don’t loose it because you might not ever get back your chance…" She stared intently at Bellatrix, that small smile never leaving her face.
Acceptance is a feeling that she is desperate to keep no matter what the cost, a feeling that she would hold on to with a grip one would describe as viselike. She has a desire to belong and a desire to distance herself. When desiring two things that conflict, both become tainted. The love she has for her sister is bittersweet because Bellatrix stands for everything Andromeda has come to loathe.
She sat there silently looking into her mug at the remains of her firewhiskey, before eagerly taking that final gulp. The liquid slithered its way down her throat, the scent flooding her nostrils as she tipped the mug higher. It was as if she was attempting to drink more of that delectable liquid even though there was not a drop left to spare. When she looked back up at her sister, she began to wonder if Bella already acknowledged the realization she is still accepting.

(( Sorry this is short))
Bella watched her sister's face, knowing that this brief encounter would be one of their last. What they had once had was lost, and no amount of alcohol or wishing could bring back her sister. Their paths were torn asunder, never to be crossed again no matter how hard either of them tried. She had made her choices, as Sirius had earlier reminded her, and Andie had made her's. Perhaps she had made the wrong choice, but there was no backing away now, not when she had so much to gain just beyond her grasp. If she did the "right" thing, and followed Andie, she would probably be happy. But if she did the "wrong" thing, as she fully intended to to do, she would be given glory forever. A glory tarnished by evil, perhaps, but glory none the less.
She looked at her firewhiskey and realised that she sounded too much like her mother for her own comfort. What is it about being drunk that makes me think like this? she wondered to herself, before realising that this was a part of her, this nasty horrible bitch was a part of her and such an integral part that she could not even bring herself to admit it when she wasn't drunk.
"Sorry Andie," she sighed. "I'm not much company at a time like this. Go find Ted, he'll be more of an amusement than I."

Andromeda gave her sister a sly smile and despite the lighthearted tone in her voice she was completely serious. "If I wanted Ted for company why would I invite you to have a drink with moi?" She cocked one eyebrow up as if challenging Bellatrix to provide a logical answer and then resumed her little spiel. "Bella don’t go discrediting yourself!" She gave her sister a look of shock and slapped her hand over her heart.
"Bella, dear sweet Bella, I have always found you to be highly amusing now matter what the time! You should know that by now!" She shook her finger at Bella as if she was scolding her for her stupidity alone.
"If you have grown tired of my dull company I would be happy to guide you back to the Slytherin common room. I would not trust you to get back in this drunken state and it would be most unfortunate if a professor crossed your path because everything you would say is bound to be slurred. You should be thankful I kept to my word because another firewhiskey is quite a tempting prospect." Andromeda proceeded to give her sister a wink despite the seriousness Bellatrix displayed when speaking.

Bella was surprised to hear of herself referred to as “highly amusing” by her sister of all people, after all, Bella had never found herself to be remotely funny around her family. Complete and utter composure and a dark face was required for entrance to the Black family archives, a sense of humour must be malevolent and cruel for it to be considered funny. And Bella had had her share of cruelty in her mischief, most of it directed toward Cissy, Andie, and Regulus. A bit of a pity, but she had proved herself worthy of parental notice, and intended to keep that approval.
“No, no, not tired yet,” she said, the words slightly muddled in her mouth and mind. “Don’t want to go back yet.” She hiccupped again. “Damned drink. It’s too good for its own good.” This didn’t make much sense but she was willing to stand by it anyway. “No more.”
She leaned over onto the counter and buried her head in her arms, knowing that her headache the next morning would be absolutely phenomenal. A flurry of snowflakes whirled through her mind, and she wondered what time it was. No decent hour, she hoped.
“How is Sirius?” she mumbled. “Hopefully he hasn’t gotten anyone pregnant lately.” She laughed slightly to herself. “Or maybe not hopefully. I don’t know. I’m too tired to think nice things about him, sorry Andie. I know you like him. I love him, but there's a difference between liking and loving. Do you know what I mean?”

Andromeda chortled at her sister’s drunken speech combined with her behavior. She’s surprisingly easy to talk to when she is intoxicated, I’ll have to remember that. Her hands still held onto her mug as if she expected it to refill itself. A facial expression resembling that of a child who bore witness to the death of a small furry animal could be seen plainly on her face. Can’t have another…
She nodded eagerly after Bella’s statement about firewhiskey and immediately proceeded to present her own logic. "Firewhiskey is the heart and soul of every Hogwarts student who has had it." No heart or soul for Andromeda tonight, she thought dejectedly.
"Well I think he’d use protection every time, especially considering some of the girls he goes out with." A small frown could be seen on her face as she remembered one of his past girlfriends whose presence was unbearable. I’d be surprised if that girl could carry on a conversation with anyone excluding her friends, who probably lack around the same amount of brain cells. Andromeda’s eyebrows were drawn together in confusion as she tried to decipher her sister’s words. "Do you mean the kind of love we can only hope for? The kind of love that has dwindled down into a mere memory of what it once was and could have been."

"Yes," Bella replied. "It's all a memory, and it'll keep me from talking shit about him at every opportunity. Love is rather amiguous, isn't it? I guess I love both of you, but wouldn't be caught dead anywhere near you during regular school hours. I think that takes a lot of convenient forgetting and a lot of wishing."
She shrugged. "If that doesn't make any sense, don't worry about it." Bella looked over at her sister's empty mug, and realised the cause of the pained expression on her sister's face. "Go ahead, have another. I'll get Rodolphus to drag me back to the dorm."

OOC: I apologize for grammar mistakes!
Andromeda could not hold back the laugh that burst forth after hearing Bellatrix's answer. "I wonder what all the Gryffindors and Slytherins would think if they saw us acting like we are related." I think that would be hysterical actually, but Bellatrix would never go along with it in public. Perhaps on Halloween, I bet someone would assume we are possessed or that we just had one to many drinks that day. "The drinking one would be more likely," she mumbled under her breadth with a wry smile.
Her head shot up once she head Bella's suggestion including Rodolphus. Her eyebrows drew together in confusion, but that subconscious action would only be noticeable to someone who is well acquainted with Andromeda. With her head shaking from side to side in protest she proceeded to slam her fist down on the table. The entire table shook with the force she put behind that little expression, but Andie did not take any note of this.
"I will be walking you back to your common room Bellatrix." She stressed the word will in order to point on her own stubbornness, even if it isn't the most attractive trait. "I do trust Rodolphus to take care of you, but I made a promise and I intend to keep it even if I am missing out on a drink. This is an honor, I don't skip drinks for just anyone Bella!" She fit in a wink and a smile at the end of her little spiel, while awaiting Bella's response.

((Sorry about the short post... ))
Bella felt oddly honoured by her sister's steadfast loyalty and unreneged promise. Undoubtably there were some things about a Black that one could not wash away despite great changes. Andie seemed to have held some Black priorities despite losing some of their more important one's. Bella couldn't help but feel that it was better than nothing, and things could be much worse. After all, she wasn't even sure that Sirius had retained any of his pride, while it was clear that Andie still held onto her's with a tenacious grip.
"Right then," Bella slurred. "You can take me back. Provided you don't have something better to do."
