These are the rules. Please do your best to follow them.
After reading, please sign below
1.) Absolutely no illegal activity will be tolorated on my site. This includes pornographic images, plagiarism, copyright infridgement, etc...
2.) Swearing is alright, so long as it is used occasionally and with a WARNING. Hell, Damn, and Ass are fine, no warnings needed unless they are used in every other sentance. Anything beyond that better be marked with a WARNING, or I will delete the thread and perhaps Suspend you.
3.) This site is pure roleplay. That means, stay in character. You know how your character acts if you are using a canon character, and if you aren't, stay within the boundaries. You can test the boundaries a bit if you'd like, but please for all our sakes, stay near to your character.
4.) DO NOT post anything sexually explicit on my site without a warning in the title. I will not tolerate it, and I will ban you if I see or hear about it happening without warning.
5.) You may register with whatever username you want. But, once you have chosen your character, please change your Display Name to your characters name. (someone named "lilyisahottie" would be a bit more difficult to figure out then "James Potter" would be, don't you agree?)
6.) Please try to keep your Spelling and Grammar proper. I dont mind the occasional slip up, but if you sound like this-
Lyk OMG, u r so ttlly gr8!
I can and will suspend you after one warning.
7.) Be respectful of everyone on the site, most importantly the Teachers and Administrators. Now, calling someone a Mudblood isn't against the rules, but if you call them a bitchy sleeper without a warning on the thread... well, thats a tad overboard.
8.) And finally, one of the most important rules of roleplaying im my opinion, NO GODMODDING.
Godmodding is when you force another character to do something. For example, you cannot post something like-
The Headmistress ran down the staircase knocking into students and sending them flying in her wake. She felt herself trip over a student, and she fell hard on her face.
"Who did that!" she demanded. She spotted Severus Snape, sitting on the floor with a smile on his face. "Severus, come here!" The student did as she asked, and when he reached her he smirked.
Within the Bolded text is the problem. I did not know that Severus would smirk when he reached me, nor did I know that he would be a student I would run into. The proper post would have been something like-
The Headmistress ran down the staircase, knocking into students and sending them flying in her wake. She felt herself trip over a student, and she fell hard on her face.
"Who did that!" she demanded. She pointed at a student. "Come here," she ordered.
This gives anyone else an opportunity to post after me, and gives anyone the option to have tripped me.
And that, my friends, is roleplaying.
