Whilst pouring her a drink Elijah looked at the girl sitting opposite him as though she may have been crazy. "Ohio=Snow." He grinned crazily at the girl trying to mask his emotions. "Shit, why'd you make me go and think about Ohio?" He said almost to himself but looked up at the pretty girl opposite him. He felt now he said that he had to gush. Carefully avoiding the girl's eyes he took a miniscule sip of his drink bracing himself for what he was about to say.
"I'm sorry for my foul language back there." He knew that that probably wouldn't bother her. "It's just that today..." He was trying to skirt around the question as much as possible. "I received a rather disturbing letter from my mother telling me that my father has been submitted to Rehab because of alcohol addiction." He looked down at the lemonade he was holding and despised the way that people drink. As though it was a given right that afterwards they could say that whatever they did was under the influence of a drug that impaired their judgment. “He was always addicted… I just feel so bad for being over the other side of the country.” He steeled himself not to cry but he looked away and wiped away a tear that had leaked from his eye scolding himself silently for showing weakness.

"Aww, are you crying? That's okay. I'll tell you a secret that even my little brother doesn't know." She sighed, and grabbed his hands, "My parents had an affair with the same person... I... I... I think my dad is unhappy with his marriage." she pulled her knees up to her chest. "I think my dad's gay. But you don't have to stand this alone. I'm always here for you."

Elijah looked up at the girl and steeled himself. “I wasn’t crying.” He said and breathed in slowly and allowed his hand to be drawn towards the girl. Elijah listened mortified to the girl’s story about her dad being homosexual. His long hair fell into his eyes as he listened to the seemingly perfect girl’s mother and father having an affair with the same person. It blew his mind to think that such an event could happen to this beautiful and talented girl. It hurt him to think that this wasn’t being told to her brother. “You don’t have to stand this alone.” He looked at the girl incredulously as though she had just suggested that he take 30000000 galleons from her. “I think your problems outweigh mine.” He wrinkled his nose. “My father may be a drunkard, but at least her lets out his secrets when he is intoxicated. Keeping secrets is worse than my father numbing emotional pain by getting shikkered.” He thought about his life and thought that no matter how messed up his dad was at least he wasn’t unfaithful to Elijah’s mother.

"No... I can get over this." That had been her mantra for the past four years. Not even her therapist knew her deep thoughts. " But, I think I might hate my dad. Not because of his sexuality, because of the stuff he's done to my mom." she kinda wanted to cry, so she didn't hold back. She shook her head and her bangs fell into her eyes "I'm sorry. I meant for this to be nice, not crying about our parents mistakes.

Elijah looked at the girl that had dissolved into tears. "It is nice." He cooed as he pulled her into him and stroked her dark hair. "We got some thing off our chests and doesn't that feel good?" He thought he sounded insincere. He wasn't meaning to.
"You don't HATE your father," He sighed. "You are just confused as to WHY he'd do that and potentially wreck your family." Elijah read Books and there was one called "Family troubles" That explained all of the hings that he was saying.
"Would you like a strawberry?" Elijah asked as he pulled some out of the basket. "They always make me feel better." He looked at her with his midnight blue eyes and smiled as sweetly as he could. "You are a doll, Emm and deserve to be treated as such." In his fake New-Yorker accent he said that last line, Hoping it'd get a smile.

She sniffled, "Sure, I guess. You have a funny accent. Are you trying to be someone beside yourself? Because your a great person. Don't let anyone tell you anything else." She took a strawberry and chewed on it. "Thank you so much." She layed back on his chest, "Hey there are some clouds rolling in."

Elijah smiled as the girl sniffed. “Feeling better?” He chewed on his own strawberry and thought about the girl’s comments about how much of a nice guy he was and his accent. “Em…” He said peering at the girl with his melting eyes. “That’s from the muggle musical ‘Guys and Dolls.’” He smiled charmingly and addressed her comment about him being a good guy. He shrugged his shoulders and ran his hands through his hair. “I guess I am, I mean I’m not lying or conniving or any of that but I dunno that ‘good guy’ would be the way to describe me. Possibly nice guy though.” He didn’t wish to crush the girl’s vision of him.
Looking up to the sky he smiled and said “Looks like the sky’s about to open up” He raised his eyebrows and then thought whether this meeting would truly having to end while things were starting to look up. He looked at Emmeline Desperately.

She smiled, "Nice guy it is then. It looks like rain. I love the rain. It will cleanse everything and help us let go."
