Emmeline stamped her foot on the ground, becoming impatient to see the boy she had met last night was real and if he really would turn up. Was it a drunken stupor? she wondered and checked the skies to see what time it was. About noon. Weren't we supposed to meet at noon? she wondered and turned around to see the boy that she had met last night was walking towards her. "HI!" she said, and jumped up and down.

"Emm." He smiled and cocked his head to the side to look at the girl's delight. "Sorry I'm a bit late I fell down." He said lamely and showed her his graze on the side of his arm. "I'm a bit of a klutz." He sat down on the hill by the lake.

She grinned and gave him a hug. "That's okay. Do you need a Band-Aid?" she pulled out a box of them with little characters on them, "she smiled and said, "I'm a klutz as well." She showed her arm, which was filled with them.

"Nah. I'm cool." He said peeling back a banana. "I bought lunch." He waved his hand in the direction of the picnic basket he bought. and then got up to pull her down onto the checkered rug.

"Yay, lunch!" she exclaimed happily as she pulled the green and red checkered blanket that he had packed in the basket he had brought. "Are you sure that you don't want a Band-Aid? That thing's bleeding pretty bad. What did you bring for lunch?"

"Yeah, I'm sure I don't need a band-aid. I never liked them much." On the blanket he smiled charmingly and pointed to the food. "Well Emmeline. Today for lunch I have made us, sandwiches, Penut butter and Jelly ala Americana on y'all sorry buts and I have baloni and ham and tamatos. I also have pie for all!" Producing the basket Then the esky with the drinks in it. "Lemonade for drinks because I think you had too much last night."

"Yum! I love peanut butter, even though I always get it stuck on the roof of my mouth, so it might seem like I have a slight lisp, even though I don't have one naturally." She layed back with a glass of lemonade and a peanut butter sandwich, her grey leggings, poking out from where she had kept them from under her skirt, "How's your day going so far?"

(ooc: Now I'm accepted I'm gonna PR more with Wood)
"The beautiful Emmeline Vance with a lisp? How tragic!" He exclaimed dramatically. He cricked his neck as he bent down to grab a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich He took a bite swallowed and then another bite.
Fixing up his Grey hoodie he directed himself to Emmeline's question. The words rung in his head. "His day?" Today he had gotten a letter from his family telling him his father had been submitted to rehab for his alcoholism. How to tell Emmeline that? He wouldn't he decided because he was scared she would think he was a freak. "Fine." He lied. "Apart from falling down those damned stairs." He smiled. He wanted to tell Emmeline, really, he did but his cowardice over took his admiration for the girl. "How was your day?"

Umm.... Em thought about her day, and yesterday. She really wasn't feeling well, had three bruises from duking it out with her book, and wished that she had a shot of cherry vodka to go with her lemonade, "Vell, my day whent pweety vell, excpet for the fact that I fink you are lying. And my leg hurts." she said, being completeley honest.

Elijah laughed at Emm having her lisp. He then picked up a banana and bit into it and sallowed then repeated eating the banana until it was gone. "You're right!" He exclaimed when he was finished. "You do have a lisp when you eat Peanut butter, That doesn't happen to me." He commented as he picked up a ham and cheese sandwich.
He fixed his shirt and cricked his neck and drank a sip of lemonade. "I can tell you wish that was stronger." He inclined his head to the dark girl sitting opposite him. He was trying anything to get off the topic of his day. "I'm sorry your day was so bad." He said batting his eyelids and sliding up closer to her he kissed her once softly and sweetly on the lips. He thought that should take her mind off his day and make her feel better.

Emmeline froze where she was sitting. The last time she had been kissed, she didn't want to. But this, this she wanted dearly. Like a shot of novacaine to a sore mouth, she let go of her tension. When they broke apart, she said" I think all of the peanut butter's gone from the roof of my mouth."

Elijah felt the girl relax as they pulled apart. His eyes closed as he blissfully stretched his arms back and leaned on the blue check rug beneath him. He smiled at Emmeline as she spoke. Brushing over the back of his eyelids with his light fingers, he grabbed his lemonade back up and looked over to the lake. It was beautiful. There was a slight breeze rippling over the surface of the water. A purple tentacle was floating on the surface. As watching it float Elijah thought about his father, what his addiction to alcohol was, Elijah didn’t see the attraction. He thought the stuff tasted horrible and obviously messed you up quite badly, or else his father wouldn’t be being treated for something people called a disease. He twisted his mouth and flicked back his brown shaggy hair from his eyes. “The day sure is nice.” Elijah commented. A falser word could not have been spoken. Sure the Weather was nice but the day? His day had been unpleasantly spine tinglingly annoying and devastating. Apart from being here with Emmeline his day had been terrible. He felt simultaneous stabs of pain in his arms and heart. Smiling falsely he looked over at Emmeline “Do you want another drink?” He noticed that her glass was almost empty.
((I'm SOOOOO sorry it took me so long to get this up I just was SWAMPED with homework and it sucked.))

(( no big... i'm trying out for the b-ball team..))
"What? Sure, I guess..." she was still in shock. The lake was so pretty today. It was like when she had first arrived, and everything looked pure and untouched. Like snow. She handed him her glass, "Have you ever seen the purest snow, before anyone touches it."
