Party!!

[Emmeline Vance]

Emma saw Sydney approach Lily before her "Hi"could reach the Gryffindor. She sighed and walked away from the cluster. Suddenly she backed into someone and her drink splashed all over her. "Dang it!" she said as she turned around to see a tall dark male, standing next to a tree.She wiped her hands on her robes, "Hi, I'm Em Vance. Who might i have the pleasure of bumping into?"

Eveleen smiled as she spotted different familiar faces and started to sway to the music. Eveleen loved parties. There was always so much to do. Dancing was one of her favourite things.

But it bought back painful memories. In Australia Eveleen would dance alot. After over training Eveleen ruined her ankle and her dream to become a professional dancer.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius turned towards Emmeline, and smiled widely. He held out his hand smoothly.

"I'm Sirius, Sirius Black," he said, eyeing her sheen of dark hair and intelligent brown eyes. She was a Ravenclaw, he knew that, which meant that she was no doubt extremely intelligent. But he didn't know her besides that, she was a bit of an enigma, really. Sirius had seen her before, but he wasn't exactly sure where. "Have I met you before?" he asked suddenly, thinking that he would have remembered her name had he done so.

Eveleen made her way over to a tree and began to climb. She may be sixteen but she though climbing trees had merit. Unless of course it was in a skirt as she was. Scrambing up the tree she was people watching. Some may call this deep and brooding. Not Ev. Eveleen found it fun.
AS she seated herself inbetween two forks in a tree and began to watch.
The grounds were beautiful, Bella had really outdone herself.

Em thought for a second. Did she know a Sirius Black? She knew Bella, Cissa, and had yet to meet the third sister, Andromeda, but no, Sirius didn't ring a bell. "I don't think we have," she replied, shaking his hand, and looking directly into his eyes, "Sorry about bumping into you." Then she remembered, she was covered in strawberry daquiri, "Shoot", and then she muttered a clear all spell under her breath.

Sirius laughed slightly as she cleaned herself up; clearly she wasn't the most graceful of people. But that was okay, and rather endearing, not to mention amusing.

"I thought my reputation preceded me," he said, laughing slightly. Actually, he liked it when people didn't recognise him. It gave him an opportunity to try and charm them before they got wise. Chances were if they'd heard of him before what they'd heard wouldn't be exactly flattering. Fact was, Sirius Black was a flirt, and a good one at that. He liked to have girls hanging onto his every word, but it was nice to have the occasional clever one.

His last girlfriend had been an air-head. A Hufflepuff with no common sense or anything to say whatsoever. But he had met some clever Hufflepuffs, so he had given her a chance to disprove first impressions. But she had only reinforced the stereotype, and had actually cried when he dumped her. He had felt badly of course, but that hadn't stopped him from going out tonight. He sort of hoped that she wouldn't be here, because it would be rather awkward if he was caught chatting with a fellow Hufflepuff. Because when talking with girls anything could be misconstrued. Especially when the conversation was perfectly innocent.

" Oh, don't think that I havent heard of you. But don't underestimate my house. The only reason i'm in Hufflepuff is because the Sorting Hat couldn't deicde between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, and it was getting long sitting up there. I'm not that big of an airhead." She grinned, unable to not grin at this adorable Gryffindor. She continued, "Even though i don't believe rumors, so i'm hoping you prove them wrong." She winked and tagged him in the stomach, "You're it!" And then Em ran.

Sirius laughed and was going to chase after her, but decided that he'd rather not. After all, there were drinks to be drunk and other women to meet. He'd find Em another time and get to know her then; after all, he hadn't even gotten a drink yet! He wasn't quite ready to launch into a full on game of tag. He waved to her and then headed toward the punch, hoping it was liberally spiked.

Swaying Eveleen moved over to the refreshment table. Where everyone seemed to be. smiling at a few people as she passed she came over to the food and looked longinly at it. She couldn't eat for another half an hour after taking the medicine madame Pomfrey gave her. She was a regular at the hospital wing. NOt that she was clumsy or anything she just liked exploring dangerous situations. The forbidden Forest was one of her favourites. picking up a glass she poured herself a cup of lemonade. Smiling at the bubbles tickling her nose she bgan to sway on the spot.

Em turned back around to not find Sirius chasing her. Oh, well, she thought and walked back over to the rereshments table, or lack thereof, and found that Austrailian girl, Eveleen swaying,and she swung an arm around her neck to get her to stop. "Still a little woozy from that potion you took, Ev?" she asked

"NO I like the music but the potion may have something to do with it. Damn that Pommie!" laughed Eveleen. she smiled and started to sway again. Feeling the rythmn in her feet. Stupid ankle she thought as she gasped in pain.

"You sure? It looks like you might need a chair, or a strong dance partner. Let's go find you someone to have a good time, I know you want to..." jabbing Ev in the ribs, she started searching for somone that was semi-out of if for Ev. Who said she wasn't a good friend?

Eveleen smiled at this suggestion. "Sure why not." She said and flicked her blonde hair out of her face. She had, unfourtunatley, decided to wear it out today. It was a spur of the moment thing. Her hair was usually up in a pony tail. She surrendered herself to Emm's judgemnet and then began to hum the song that was playing.
